It's hard to find a decent non-curved 27" 1440p IPS Freesync monitor.

The best, newest example I can find which doesn't have ugly RGB lighting bling (I'm looking at you MSI Optix MPG27ca!) is the Acer XF270HU, or its newer variant with thinner bezels XF270HUA.

It's very well reviewed (https://www.expertreviews.co.uk/pc-performance/1406032/acer-xf270hua-review-best-gaming-monitor), but doesn't seen to be available in NZ.

Is Computer Lounge planning on stocking this? With the cheaper price of AMD and Freesync, I reckon this is a uniquely specced monitor, sure to be popular!

Morning Sos_nz,

I can't see it listed on any of our supplier sites though I'm sure once stock is available in New Zealand we will very likely be stocking this model.

Out of interest are the Acer XB271HU or Asus PG279Q too much of an eye sore?

I do prefer a more "clean" look :)

That said, both the XB271HU and PG279Q look OK, but are both G-Sync, and I'm running AMD for the foreseeable future.

I wrote to Acer NZ/Aus, and they said:

XF270HUA available in Australia. Please contact local Synnex distributor in NZ and confirm with them if they order for customer or not

http://www.staticice.com...cgi?q=xf270hu&spos=3

So - if it's available in Aussie, surely we can get it here (and preferably the newer zero-bevel edition).

Afternoon Sos_nz,

It is very likely they will be arriving in New Zealand though it will likely be next year at this stage as our Synnex isn't listing stock currently.

I'll ask our product manager for monitor to chase it up with them to get you an ETA though.

And with a little more research, there's always something new coming down the pipeline....

The next gen Acer replacements are due for release right about now:

These look swell!

Morning Sos_nz,

That does look super clean and minimalist which is quite lacking in the "gaming monitor" market.
