Hey team, hows it going?

I just got back from some travel overseas and am looking at building a new pc to get back into gaming a bit. Before I left I pulled out my 980gtx and kept it and sold the rest of the pc. I also still have my screen and peripherals.

I have very minimal space so am looking for a small form build and was wondering if I could get some advice on this. I have a budget of 2-2.5k.

I have a couple of questions.
Micro/Mini atx. What are the differences? Can i use my 980 in these cases?

Id like to think Ill have this pc for a while, what sort of future proofing do I need to do to make this a reality?

Is there new tech on the horizon that I should wait for?

Any other tidbits of information and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Milton

Morning Milton,

Mini Itx is the smallest form factor with a single PCI slot whereas Matx is in the middle of the range with 2-4 PCI slots depending on the model so Matx is a better solution if you plan on adding a second GPU or a sound card/ wifi card in the future.

I have quoted up a build within a Mini Itx case which wouldn't be much bigger than say a DVD player, while also allowing support for your GPU and a decent specked system.

Please have a look over the below quote and let me know your thoughts.
