Hello there,

I'm looking to build a new PC. Maybe if I can get a quote of what components I can get with my budget that would be great :).

1. Budget / Price Range
around about $3k

2. What will it be used for (be specific)
- gaming, general office pro usage. Virtualisation.

3. What components you do/don't require
- I require only the system box. I have other peripherals such as monitors, mouse, etc.
4. Specifics

looking to get the following if possible:
case that fits all
sufficient power supply
processor: i7 7th or 8th generation
GPU: gtx 1070 ti
memory: 16gb with the capability to upgrade to 32GB if possible
cooling: wont probably overclock, but a nice fan should be enough?
storage: 128 or 256 SSD. 1TB or 2TB HDD
motherboard: 5.1 and 7.1 headset audio capable.
headset: a good gaming headset with 7.1 capability.
maybe throw in a good mechanical keyboard if budget permits (optional)
blu-ray/DVD optical drive
windows 10
I can assemble the components myself if that helps reduce cost

thanks heaps! :)

Morning Sinaju,

I've managed to squeeze most of what you are after into your budget though had to leave out the headphones as like me you will likely prefer to maximise your components first and worry about the headphones second.

This is mainly so you don't have to downgrade any components as this system is fairly well balanced as it is.

I have also quoted this up as a component quotation not a build so to avoid the labour costs.

Please have a look at the below quote and let me know your thoughts.
