Hi,

I'm helping a friend put together a new PC.
Trying to get him a decent build with well known brands for around the $2500 but no more than $2600 range.
We want the PC to be built and operating system installed, no over clocking required.

So far we have come up with this build here

$749.00 - Gigabyte GV-N1070WF2OC-8GD GeForce GTX1070 8GB OC WindForce Gaming Video Card
$219.95 - Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD (MZ-V6E250BW)
$179.95 - Corsair CS Series CS650M 650W Modular 80Plus Gold Power Supply
$99.95 - TP-Link Archer T8E Wireless AC1750 Dual Band PCI-E Adapter
$159.95 - Deepcool Gamer Storm Captain 240EX White AIO Liquid Cooling
$886.35 - Gigabyte Z370 HD3, Intel Z370, DDR4-4000, M.2, Fusion RGB, LGA1151v2 Motherboard
- Intel CoffeeLake Core i3 8350K Quad Core, 4.0Ghz, 8MB LGA1151 Unlocked Processor, No Fan
- Corsair CMK16GX4M2A2666C16 Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2666 CL16
$229.95 - NZXT H440 Mid Tower Case 2015 Edition - White (CA-H442W-W1)

The build we are trying to achieve has to have the following items in it, the rest can be changed as required to get in around price requested.

  • Wifi Adapter (for gaming)
  • GTX1070 Graphics Card
  • We've chosen the NZXT H440 would prefer Manta (the one used on Artemis build but cant find it anymore)
  • Water cooled CPU (the white cooler would go great with white case but happy to change if if means getting in around price requested)
  • Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD
  • 16GB of Ram preferably no less than 2666 speed
  • we've Chosen the Coffelake 8350k nothing less than this in quality/speed preferably

My friend is currently looking at a build elsewhere for around $2400 with similar but not exactly these specs.
I've convinced him if we can get it in the price range between $2500-2600 he is willing to go ahead right away with build.

Morning Akhor,

In order to squeeze in under your current budget I have had to change the CPU cooler and Wi-Fi adapter as adding in windows pushed you a bit over budget.

Please have a look at the changes to the Noctua U14s and the Asus AC55BT.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your help that is looking awesome.

I was wondering, I've had a look at the Noctua NH-U14S and see that is $149.95
If we were to swap that out to the CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES H55 QUIET CPU COOLER at $109.95
That would mean we could upgrade from the ASUS-PCE-AC55BT at $64.95 back to TP-Link Archer at $99.95

If this is doable that would be great

Afternoon Akhor,

Unfortunately, the H55 and Noctua U14 coolers cost price to us is very similar so while I can do a straight swap between the two cooler I cant do so while adding in the more expensive wireless adapter , which would be an extra $40.

When quoting a custom system like this we look at cost as a whole not individually so swapping a singular component is almost never RRP price to RRP its the difference between the items cost.

Would you prefer the H55 over the U14s?

Evening Thomas,

Ok, so we've made a decision.

If you could swap the U14 for the H55, and put the TPlink wireless card back on for $40 more.
I think that should make the total $2640 we would be happy to proceed with that.

Cheers
