Current Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4

My current graphics card is giving me more issues then I would like (GeForce GTX660ti). Probably old and time to move on. This time round I'm thinking of giving the AMD cards a go. Price wise looking about $300 or if you think I should go up a bit then please advise.

Something simple where I un-plug my old card and cables and just drop the new one in (software installation I'll sort out).

Thanks for any advice.

Morning Pierce,

In that price bracket you would be looking at an RX470 as below.

Otherwise if you were able to spend a little more you could upgrade to an RX480 as below.

Thanks Thomas. I'm going to go with the ASUS Strix RX470. I'll stop by your shop hopefully today (or tomorrow) to pick one up.

Stopped by yesterday. Changed my mind and picked up the RX480. Installed it and applied the software. All my nvidia (previous graphics card) driver issues through Windows 10 stopped popping up. Gaming no longer crashes (so far)Pray

I'm sticking with AMD for the foreseeable future.

Morning Pierce,

Awesome to hear your issues are no longer persisting :)

Good to see you went a step up and got the beefier card as well, bit of future proofing never hurt anyone!
