Hi team,

A friend is looking to replace a 10 year old PC with a new rig capable of mostly mid end gaming. He usually doesn't touch his hardware for years so something in the higher range is probably a wise idea. He's been looking at the options prebuilt on the PB and Playtech website and I'm pretty confident you guys can come up with something solid.

Thoughts:

i5 8600k
1070ti
16gb ram
500gb SSD
1TB Hdd (WD Black?)

He doesn't need any peripherals, however a new case and PSU will be required. Nothing fancy or flashy, likewise the stock CPU cooler is probably OK. Would prefer you guys build it so he has the warranty.

Mostly plays strategy and RTS such as Civ. His current rig can barely run 5, let alone 6. This will be overkill for a few years but in 5 it will probably still do what he wants I assume?

Cheers.

Hey Snapfrozen,

Our Pre-built system 'Trooper' is currently at a fantastic price as it is currently rocking the Intel i7-7700k, which while being previous gen. at this time, holds the same performance as the 8600k while allowing you to push into the GTX1080 class.

On top of that, the case is a small form factor which is great for putting at the edge of your (his) desk and pretending it doesn't exist :)
