Hey guys! Can I please get a quote for a new build?

Budget: $2500

1. Budget / Price Range
- Very important as this is the target e.g. $1500

2. What will it be used for (be specific)
- It's for family, I think the main sim they'll be playing is iRacing and will be a triple monitor setup, but I'd like it to be able to handle newer games too - do you think a gtx1070 would be a good choice?

3. What components you do/don't require
- Just the Box please - have the monitor/keyboard/etc

4. Specifics
- Either i7 or Ryzen please! I'm leaning towards Ryzen for price/performance but would like your thoughts please Dancing Dancing

Thanks heaps!

Morning Metalor,

Please have a look over the below quote that I believe maximises your budget with performance.

Price wise this could be changed to a Coffeelake i5, let me know what you think.

Hey Thomas!

That looks great! Sorry, I should have mentioned I already have a Windows 10 key to use, so we can remove the OS from the build.

Is it possible to get a comparison build for the i5 8600k? And what would be your recommendation between the 8600k vs the 2600x stability wise? If it was for myself I'd definitely go with Ryzen, but as it's not for me I'm hesitant not going with Intel (stability and support wise).

Oh, and if it's not too much to ask, what's the price difference to go with 500GB SSD?

Thanks!

Afternoon Metalor,

To stick within the same budget I would have gone with the 8600 non k just so you could go choose a cheaper motherboard as well as not needing to buy a cooler.

Changing to the 8600k, Ze70 motherboard and a sufficent cooler has increased the price a bit though you are moving to a more mature architecture.

Most games and software are optimised better for Intel as they haven't changed for almost 8 years.

Cool! Looks good to me.

I think we can save a bit by leaving out the 1tb (can be added later if needed) and the OS.

Sorry to be a pain! Would it be better to get the Gigabyte GV-N1070WF2OC instead of the founders edition? Is there a price difference.

Sounds good Metalor,

Did you want to place this order online (I can create an order link for you) or were you happy to proceed as an in-store order?
