My son changed his admin password of Dell laptop and now he can't remember it clearly. He has an urgent task in school so he asked me to help on that. I did follow the guide in this section and made a bootable USB disk. But every time I booted the laptop, the screen got black and no error message on the screen. Anyone know how to solve it? thanks

Give it 30 mins or so, reboot the machine make sure it is on the internet and try again. I used ophcrack a few days ago before posting in here.
